My school basketball team is called the “Noorvik Bears” and when I arrived for a vacation at Sleepy Bear, I was one very “sleepy bear”. The quiet & solitude of the location combined with everything imaginable I needed in the cabin and very friendly hosts completely renewed me and I left wanting to return……….

The cabins were new, nicely furnished and priced reasonable. The grills were great and we got very good at the horseshoe pit. Only a mile away and we were at the Anchor River for some fishing. The hosts were very helpful and we plan on going back soon.

Our holiday plans were to stay two days in the Kenai Peninsula, but thanks to your warm hospitality and your modern quaint cabins (Sleepy Bear Cabins) our stay became five great days. The cabins and big picnic area with barbecues, table and bonfires gave us all the comforts of home. The experience of a close view of the moose with twin calves feeding in your back yard was unique.
